Not to us, O LORD, not to us,
but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love
and your faithfulness!

Psalm 115: 1 ESV

Though I rejoice deeply in God’s glory so beautifully surrounding us in the flowers, the trees, the mountains, the rivers and the oceans all around us
; my joy in His glory resounds even more deeply still in the wonder of His Son reflected so magnificently in the lives of His saints. I speak of parents, brothers, sisters, Pastors, teachers, students, mentors, Sunday School teachers, Training Union leaders, Sunbeam leaders, R.A. Leaders; Nigerians, Nigeriens, Congolese, Rwandans, Kenyans, Koreans, Australians, New Zealanders, Swiss, Germans, British, Brazilians, Canadians and Americans. Yet, to be clear, I speak of the Savior who redeems them all, and so, too, through His unimaginable mercy and grace, redeems me. Oh, that His light might so shine in me.

Oh, That You Might Shine So Bright In Me

Oh, that You might shine so bright in me, today, dear Lord
that I might completely disappear, as You shine ever brighter
still ‘til all those who so see You, in their hearts, must
desperately search until they find You, alone, are the Source
of such glory, not just for me, but for every souls who finds
their life ultimately in You—Lord Jesus so brightly shine
that all this darkness that shadows our hearts completely
disappears and gives way to rainbowed bright blue skies
quickening us to assault with love and kindness and Your
powerful light even shadows which rob the joy of Your
children still caught up in webs of sin and doubt and fear—
set them free so they may join You in Your resurrection glory.

”Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”
