Love Like A Rainbow Bright

God has often revealed Himself in my life as my loving Heavenly Father. His Love is active, surprising and good. The overwhelming reality of having God’s gift of Jesus as my Savior makes His Love undeniable and delightful.  Daily He continues to surprise me with new revelations of His Love; but over the last twenty-seven years of marriage He has most personally and poignantly revealed this Love through the spiritual beauty and complete loveliness of my wife, Becky.  So in continuing to share my testimony to God’s goodness I want to share with you one of my attempts at expressing my sense of wonder as I continue to enjoy God’s gift of her love.

Love Like A Rainbow Bright

Your love is like a rainbow bright
Against a clearing sky
Where colors paint an altar’s glow
Just like the Father’s smile.

Your love is like a butterfly
Dancing on a rose
Where beauty touches beauty’s face
And brings the Father’s smile.

Your love is like the ocean waves
Breaking on the shore
Where perfect peace becalms my soul
As I sense the Father’s smile.

Your love is like a mountaintop
Touching Heaven’s floor
Where glory glimmers regal gold
When the Father smiles.

Your love is like a whispered prayer
The purest child will pray
Where goodness gladdens every heart
While the Father smiles.

Your love is like the breath of life
That quickens life anew
Where dust becomes a living being
Because the Father smiles.

Your love makes my life brand new
And holds me in His care
Who made you for my journey home
And basking in His smile.
