Just a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I, along with many of our friends, lost a dear, dear friend–and quite a mentor and example for our faith. She was always faithful to the Way our Lord set before her and her husband. She was always passionate about establishing His best for those she loved. She was always seeking another who might join her in the rich discovery of life lived out in faith after to God’s cleansing forgiveness. She was always serving and giving in Christ’s name, glorifying Him beautifully as she did so. Indeed, her entire life lived out before those around her was always singing through her actions, her compassion and her energy for the task. Now she is singing again, her redeemed voice joined with countless others around the Throne of her Lord she loved so dearly.

Always faithful, always fiery,
Always loving her true Lord,
Her heart righteous through His cleansing
By His power in His blood.

Always searching for a seeker
Longing for her own true Lord,
Her heart hungry for another
Cleansing through His holy Word.

Always serving, always working
At the feet of those in need,
Her mind fixed on serving Him
Who cleanses all by His own blood.

Always singing, always praising,
Raising praise before His throne,
Now among the countless chorus
Rejoicing `round His glorious throne.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

“I have fought the good fight.
I have finished the race.
I have kept the faith.
Henceforth there is laid up for me
the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge,
will award to me on that Day,
and not only to me but also to all
who have loved his appearing.”
